LaGrange Wine Tasting & Corvette Show 2010

Sunday, April 18, 2010 at 1:00 PM (ET)

This event is open to all Corvette owners and clubs. http://odcc2010winery.eventbrite.com/

This will be our Fourth Annual visit to LaGrange Winery. ODCC will hold a Corvette cruise-in and invite Corvette enthusiasts from all over the tri-state area again. In past years we have had over 150 Corvettes and we have been invited back by the Winery again. Bring whatever food and snacks you want, don't forget a chair, and spend the day with the friendliest Corvette enthusiasts in the area!

In addition to the special tasting area for Corvette folks, the winery sells bottles and snacks. In addition, last year many Corvette enthusiasts brought picnics and finger foods. To encourage people to make a day at the winery, this year LaGrange is allowing us to us the patio area (available first come-first served) for those who want to set up a grill, cook, eat and share.

The event date is Sunday April 18th.  The official start time of the event at the winery will be Noon.

All Corvette Clubs should meet directly at the winery for Corvette only parking.

Kentucky Senator Files Bill to Name Corvette Official State Sports CarState Senator Mike Reynolds, D-Bowling Green, has filed legislation (Senate Bill 111) designating the Corvette as the official state sports car of Kentucky.
The Corvette’s role in Kentucky’s manufacturing and tourism industries make it a natural choice for “official sports car of Kentucky.” Warren County is the home of the
General Motors Bowling Green Assembly Plant and the National Corvette Museum.

“Bowling Green is becoming more of a tourist destination.
The National Corvette Museum is a major part of that and is a definite drawing card for the traveling public. Drawing attention to our community and the Corvette’s unique role in our American heritage can only boost economic development for our area,” Senator Reynolds said.

Senate Bill 111 has been referred to the Senate Committee on Economic Development, Tourism, and Labor. “The Corvette has become a tangible symbol of our Commonwealth, and I’m excited to make that symbolism official,” Senator Reynolds said. Senator Reynolds represents the 32nd district, which includes Butler and
Warren counties.
